Short Walks
Short walks last between 1 – 2 hours including the return journey to the cottages.
Their entire length is a single track tarmac road used for hauling timber.
Beyond the marks A, B and C the roads turn into dirt tracks that are suitable for biking on mountain bikes,
but eventually turn into footpaths suitable only for walking.
For young children and older people there are less steep and demanding walks around

near Bardejov as well as in
Bardejov Spa,
where there are also facilities for
sport,
recreation,
and rest.

Medium Walks
Medium walks take half a day including the return journey to the cottages.
Almost the entire length is on walking trails that are unsuitable for mountain bikes.
For biking trails see the short and the long walks.
All these trails include a steep climb up to the ridge, to the long distance European walking trails E3 and E8.
The walks are much more demanding than most in the UK, mainly because of the steep ascents and dense forests.
All trails are marked, but should you lose the trail, the way back to the cottages can be very arduous
through very steep ravines, dense undergrowth, etc.

Long Walks
Long walks last a whole day including the return journey to the cottages.
They are extensions of the medium walks. The extra lengths are mostly on the long distance
walking trails E3 and E8, which are easy to follow without special directions.
Walking trails E3 and E8 are also suitable for biking on mountain bikes.
To get there with the bicycles use the tarmac/dirt trails from the villages Livov (Li) and Hertnik (H).
There are two circular trails, via Sedlo Cergov (C) and via Sedlo Priehyby (Pr).
There are also a number of one-way trails.
Going round the map clockwise, they end in Bardejov (B), Hertnik (H), Gregorovce (G), Sabinov (S),
Pecovska Nova Ves (P) and Obrucne (O).
